In 1989, the watchmakers at the Cartier workshop in New York set about remodelling the original Cartier Tank to give it a design influenced by American culture. The Cartier Tank Americaine also introduced the concept of curving the watch case to fit the wrist more comfortably. This Tank Americaine model 1726 is the large model 23x42mm case, It has an 18ct white gold bracelet and case, the dial is white with classic roman numeral hour markers, blued-steel sword shaped hands and the date is displayed at six oclock.
