Alabama Pre/Post Adoption Connections better known as APAC, provides FREE comprehensive adoption and post-adoption support services. APAC, a program by Children's Aid Society of Alabama, recruits individuals and couples to adopt waiting children in Alabama; provides free resources, free counseling, free training, and free community events to empower adoptees and adoptive families in Alabama. APAC also provides in-person and online trauma-informed training to social workers, counselors, therapists and more. These trainings offer CEU hours for professionals seeking continuing education credits. Additionally, APAC is the ONLY approved Training for Adoption Competency, (TAC) training site for clinicians in Alabama. Professionals who wish to become certified adoption-competent professionals should inquire about our TAC training. Individuals and couples who want to learn how to adopt in Alabama should start with APAC!
