Mr Sharma has been a Consultant in Colorectal / Lower Gastrointestinal & General Surgery at the Wythenshawe Hospital; part of the University of Manchester NHS Foundation Trust since 2012. He is the Clinical Governance and Mortality Review Lead for General Surgery. He is care of the critically ill surgical patient (CCrISP) and advanced trauma life support (ATLS) trained, and is Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accredited for upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy. Mr Sharma is currently leading multiple local audits and is the Trust Lead for several national and international audits. He has a tertiary pelvic floor referral practice offering all aspects of management of complex pelvic floor disorders.
