Vijaya parents were very poor and belong to the below poverty line. Shyamala is the second wife. 1st Wife passed away due to disputes in the family. They were agriculture labourers. Due to a scarcity of rains, it is not easy to get work every day. Many families migrated to different districts and states. Due to Vijaya’s father ill-health, they cannot go to another place leaving their own place. Father used to have Epilepsy. So they stayed in the same village. Syamala tried so much to recover her husband‘s health. Where ever she got debts she did. But all in vain. Leaving debts to the family, srinivasulu passed away with illness, and brain stroke from Epilepsy problem. Shyamalan is looking after 1st wife children also.
