This resistor kit is for customers with our Hush kit fans installed in a system that has lithium batteries with a capacity greater than 300AH and nominal voltage greater than 14V. (or 28V for 24V kits)
The hush fans installed on the condenser are designed for a 12.6-12.9 operating voltage. Since axial fans input voltage is tied to RPM the fans are outside of their efficiency. This results in greater than desired noise (still quieter than the competition), however this resistor kit drops down noise output by a massive 5dB and power consumption by 40W. This is a high quality resistor that mounts in line with the condenser chassis ground and is attached to a laser cut piece of aluminum that conveniently attaches to the condenser where it will be cooled by the condenser fans.
