The CET™ is an innovative, tangent, redirective/gating cable end terminal, for use with Valtir's CASS® S3 M10, a Test Level 3 or Test Level 4 cable barrier, (See FHWA Eligibility Letters B-141F, B-232, B-232A, B-232B and B-232C) in either unidirectional or bidirectional traffic applications - to include roadside, shoulder, median and gore installations. The CET™ is tested to MASH-2nd Edition (with 2020 Errata) Test Level 3 criteria and may be used in Test Level 1 - 3 applications - when installed at the full Test Level 3 system length. During head-on impacts within MASH criteria, the CET™ Anchor Assembly is designed to separate, activating the CET™energy as the vehicle engages the CET™ U-Shaped posts and CET™ S3 SYT® posts, bringing the vehicle to a controlled stop.
